3988 promotes resin crystallization by providing crystal nuclei, making the crystal structure finer, thereby enhancing the rigidity, heat distortion temperature, dimensional stability, transparency and surface gloss of the product. In addition, nucleating transparent agents can shorten the product molding cycle, expand processing conditions, and enhance the smoothness of the product surface.

3988 is the third-generation sorbitol nucleating agent. Compared with the first-generation DBS and the second-generation MDBS, it has better biological applicability. The product is non-toxic and odorless, and during the processing, it does not produce odors that are unacceptable to ordinary people. Nucleating transparent Agent 3988 is particularly suitable for use in the resin of high-grade polypropylene products, such as in medical supplies and food packaging, and is more suitable for manufacturing food packaging materials than the second generation.

3988 is highly suitable for manufacturing transparent plastic products, such as medical supplies, cultural goods, beverage packaging, transparent cups, bowls, basins, plates, CD cases, etc. It is also applicable to high-temperature disinfection products and is widely used in transparent PP sheets and tubes. The nucleating transparent agent 3988 can be used directly by dry-mixing with PP or made into 2.5-5% masterbatch before use. Generally, the addition amount of nucleating transparency agent 3988 at 0.2% to 0.4% has a very significant anti-transparency effect. The recommended addition amount is 0.2 to 0.4%, and the processing temperature is 190 to 260℃.
